Conditions

  1. The project must be completed and may not be more than 5 years old.
  2. Entries found to be in breach of the rules at any stage will be withdrawn from the competition.
  3. The entrant must be either the author or co-ordinator of the design, or the contracted builder of the project. The declaration of copyright ownership must be signed. Input of consultants must be acknowledged where applicable.
  4. A project may only be entered in one category per entry, however it may be entered multiple times for each different category (fees involved).
  5. A project entered in a previous Abode Awards competition is not eligible for entry in the same category in this year’s competition. However, it may be entered in a different category.
  6. An application form must be completed for each new or different project.
  7. The Judges reserve the right to close a category or reallocate an entry to a different category.
  8. Additional trophies (for clients, builders or consultants) can be arranged if desired at the applicant’s expense.
  9. 2012 Outdoor Awards entry material is to be uploaded via the Awards website or CD/DVD and is to include high resolution photographs, design brief of 300 words, award worthiness statement of 100 words, and basic working drawings.
  10. All material submitted for judging is to be anonymous, other than project name, (photos, design brief and working drawings). Details of entrant are ONLY to appear on the application form and authorship declaration accompanying
    the entry.
  11. A respresentitive of the company MUST be in attendance on the night of the results. Awards will be forfeited if an entrant is not present for collection.

Important Note: Ensure that all information is correct on your entry form as this will appear in publications, as well as on your certificate and plaque (if applicable) should you win an Award or Commendation.
